18:3. சோபாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆதாரேசர் ஐபிராத் நதியண்டையில் தன் இராணுவத்தை நிறுத்தப்போகிறபோது, தாவீது அவனையும் ஆமாத்தின் கிட்டே முறிய அடித்தான்.

18:3. தாவீது, ஆதாரேசரின் படைகளுக்கு எதிராகவும் சண்டையிட்டான். ஆதாரேசர் சோபா நாட்டின் அரசன். தாவீது, அப்படைகளோடு ஆமாத் நகரத்தின்வரை போரிட்டான். தாவீது இவ்வாறு செய்வதற்குக் காரணம் என்னவென்றால் ஆதாரேசர் தனது அரசை ஐபிராத்து நதிவரை பரப்ப விரும்பினான்.

18:3. David defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah as far as Hamath, when he went to extend his authority to the Euphrates River.

18:3. David also destroyed the forces of Hadadezer, king of Zobah, as far as Hamath, when Hadadezer marched out to strengthen his control along the Euphrates River.

18:3. And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

18:3. David also fought against Hadadezer's army. Hadadezer was the king of Zobah. David fought against that army all the way to the town of Hamath. David did this because Hadadezer tried to spread his kingdom all the way to the Euphrates River.
